Vlod has lived in the borough since 1990. He was a councillor in Acton when the Conservatives last ran the Council, in 2006-10 (remember Clean Streets, Safer Communities, Value for Money?). Vlod was Cabinet Member for Transport and also for Community Safety.
Vlod trained as an accountant with the National Audit Office, holding civil servants to account for public spending before working in the private sector. Now retired, Vlod chairs the St Vincent de Paul Society at Ealing Abbey, providing a befriending service and some financial support to those in need. He also volunteers at Perivale Library and is a trustee of Perivale Community Hive, which runs the library. He manages the library café, raising grant funding and working with West London College to provide work experience for their catering students. Vlod also runs ballroom dancing classes for beginners.
Vlod has held many local association roles in the former Ealing Central association, including treasurer and chairman. He is currently Perivale ward chairman, having stood there in the 2022 Council elections.
