Ed Davey has shown his hand. The Liberal Democrat leader refuses to rule out cutting a backroom deal to keep Keir Starmer in power after the election.
And here in Ealing, that should set alarm bells ringing. We’ve already seen what happens when the Lib Dems cosy up to Labour: they waved through Labour’s disastrous planning decisions, including a 13-storey tower block and music venue right on the edge of a conservation area.
When it really matters, the Lib Dems don’t stand with local people. They stand with Labour.
That’s why Ealing Conservatives are the only real opposition. We’re the ones fighting inappropriate high-rises, resisting Labour’s heavy-handed expansion of Controlled Parking Zones, and standing against damaging changes to Stop & Shop.
After 16 long years of Labour mismanagement, in May residents finally have a choice. Stick with more of the same, or vote Conservative councillors who put Ealing first.
