The Ealing MCA have been delighted to contribute to Harmit Vyas' campaign in the Alperton by-election. Mutual aid is an important aspect of party politics, and we always enjoy lending a helping hand to our colleagues in other areas. Whilst Harmit sadly did not cross the line to victory tonight, his campaign was solid and we look forward to working with him again to ensure Alperton has a strong Conservative voice.
Please read a message from our CWO Officer, Flora MacLoughlin, below:
"For one final time, I’d like to bring everyone’s attention back to the By Election in Brent. In a socialist stronghold where the Lib Dems have spent years digging in, our Conservative candidate, Harmit Vyas, stormed in with no machine, and no history, just grit, principle, and the right message. In weeks, he carved out the personal vote, in a ward where Tories don’t win. The Lib Dems spent years; he did it in a month. Give him a year, a proper campaign, and he overtakes Labour. Give him momentum, and the Lib Dems are in his sights. This wasn’t a defeat, it was the first crack in the wall. Next time, it will break."
