Tonight, Cllrs Fabio Conti and Anthony Young, former Mayor Ian Potts, Sean Hanrahan, and Elliott Malik were pleased to attend the VE Day 80 beacon lighting ceremony in Walpole Park. Beginning at 21:30, the attendees listened to various songs by the late Dame Vera Lynn, sang I Vow to Thee, My Country and heard words from The Worshipful the Mayor of the London Borough of Ealing and the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Ealing. The beacon was then lit, before the crowd sang the national anthem.
