Ealing Council Axe Stop & Shop Bays And make CPZs all day

Stop & Shop Bays are essential to keeping our high streets and shopping parades thriving, by allowing a short period of free parking outside shops. The current Labour Council plans to kill off passing trade by removing this lifeline to local shops, risking businesses and leading to empty shops on our high streets.

Back in 2017, when Ealing Council last attempted to remove Stop & Shop bays, Conservative Councillors joined forces with residents and local businesses, forcing the Council into a U-turn.

The fact that less than 2 years later these plans are back again, shows how little the Council values our high streets by putting them at risk.
