Tonight, Flora MacLoughlin (Ealing MCA's Conservative Women's Organisation Officer) and Cllr Seema Kumar (holder of national and local positions in the CWO) were delighted to attend the CWO's International Women's Day celebration in CCHQ. This is just one example of the Conservative Party supporting women in politics locally. No matter what your background is, the Conservative Party will always support you.

After the event, Flora said: 'With a shared purpose in mind, Conservative women from across the country gathered at CCHQ for an evening of inspiration, ambition, and action. This was not just a celebration of International Women’s Day it was a rallying cry for women to take their rightful place in politics, not as spectators but as leaders.'

They listened to speakers including:

  • Pamela Hall, the Chairwoman of the CWO
  • Ajantha Tennakoon, the CWO Regional Chair
  • Nigel Huddleston MP, co-Chairman of the Conservative Party; and
  • Mims Davies MP.
