Cllr Conti gives Labour a reality check

During July’s council meeting, Labour praised their ‘successes’ with tree planting in the Borough

Cllr Fabio Conti provided a reality check for this. Labour may be planting more trees, but they are using money given to them by the last Conservative government.

Here are the facts:

🌳The last Conservative government spent £650 million on tree planting

🥀Labour have cut this by £250 million per year and are only guaranteeing funding for the next two years.
